Ocasio-Cortez and Tlaib to Join Powerful Oversight Panel

Representative Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, who was recorded calling for Trump’s impeachment using a profanity, will also join the panel, as will Representative Ro Khanna of California and Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts. The appointments were announced on Tuesday night by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in a statement. The four liberals were selected by the Democratic steering committee, which determines appointments.
