Ocasio-Cortez: ICE Doesn’t ‘Deserve a Dime’ of Funding

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.) said Thursday that she would work to deprive the Department of Homeland Security of funding until the agency adopts more permissive immigration-enforcement policies. “This is one of the most urgent moral issues and crises that we have in America right now,” Ocasio-Cortez said during a rally outside the Capitol building. Children dying in detention centers should not be a partisan concern.
