When Almedina Suljicic Ijaz had her son a year ago, sadness almost overcame her joy. In that moment, she couldn’t help but think of the mothers in Srebrenica, a small town in Ijaz’s home country of Bosnia in eastern Europe. The Srebrenica massacre was 24 years ago, but it’s still not easy to talk about.
